As salaamu alaikum! Please read this post in its entirety. You will find information regarding:
New Tuition Policy
Since its establishment in 2001, Islamic School of Trenton has always tried to keep tuition affordable. Being a non-profit organization, the school relies on donations and annual tuition fees to cover the cost of providing quality education to its students, hiring staff, and maintaining general upkeep of the school building and its facilities. We are indebted to everyone who has supported the school along the way, jazakumAllahu khayran!
Beginning in 2016, tuition for the entire school year will be due at the time of registration so as to ensure a smooth and on-going operation of the school. Families who cannot meet this obligation may pay the tuition in two installments instead: the first half at the time of registration, the remaining in January. A late fee of $10 per child will be applied to payments made past the 5th of the month, and for each additional week thereafter until the balance is paid. Three consecutive late fees will require that the family meet with the board of directors to resolve the matter.
Families who want to pay on a monthly basis must enroll in the school’s automatic payment system, which will be set up by the school for a small fee.
Family Survey Deadline
If your family meets the income eligibility guidelines outlined in the Title 1 Family Survey (page 10 of the registration application), your child may be eligible to receive aid from federally funded educational programs. Please ensure that you fill out and give this form (page 11) to the school office as soon as possible, as it needs to be submitted to your district's Board of Education when funds are allocated for the school year. All information provided will remain confidential.
For more information on Title 1 programs, please visit the U.S. Department of Education's website regarding the Title 1 Grant, as well as the aims of its Basic Program.
