Hifz Curriculum
ISLAMIC STUDIES
The Islamic studies class consists of weekly lessons in `aqeedah (beliefs), akhlaaq (character), taareekh (history), and hadith (sayings of the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him). In addition, each student will be taught essential components of tahaarah (purification) and salaah required for daily Muslim life.
TAJWEED - QIRA'AH
Learning proper recitation of the Qur'an is necessary and an obligation on every Muslim. The Tajweed-Qira'ah class is dedicated to improve each student's recitation of the Qur'an according to the rules of tajweed and Hafs qira'ah. There is also an emphasis on preparing for public recitation.
SECULAR STUDIES
Although the primary goal of the Hifz Program is memorization of the Qur'an, some time is allotted towards continuing secular studies. The Secular Studies class is a bare-bone continuation of Reading and Mathematics. Parents are expected to make their own arrangements for any other secular studies they feel are necessary.
